Does Customizing Cost Extra?

We love helping people design their own playsets. A common question at the start of the process is, “Does customizing cost extra?”

No! There is no customizing fee, cost, charge, addition, toll, or tariff on the act of customizing. I know we live in a world where the very thought of customizing has a charge to it, but here at King Swings, there is no customizing fee.

So how does customizing pricing work?

It is very simple. You get credited for any item you take off and are charged the cost of any item you put on the set.

So let’s look at an example. Let’s say you like the Sea King but want to get rid of the rock wall in the front but add an additional waterfall slide and an extra swing position with a deluxe toddler swing.

Once we determine the layout, we would subtract the rock wall’s cost from the Sea King’s price, then add in the cost of an additional waterfall slide, replace the 3-position monkey bar swing beam with a 4-position, and finally, add in the cost of the deluxe toddler swing.

Do colors change the price?

this image shows the colors King Swings offers for playhouse walls.

No, colors do not change the price of your swing set. Our popular white playhouse costs the same as our not-so-popular blue playhouses. We don’t have to charge a “premium” just because something is popular. Gray slides are the same as blue, red, or green.

Now, the one place where color does change prices is rubber mulch and poured-place-rubber flooring. Certain colors cost more than others, and there isn’t a lot we can do about that.

Before you place your order for a custom swing set, you get an itemized estimate showing the breakdown of every piece. This will help you understand the total cost and guide you if you want to delete or add some items.

We love customizing! We want you to be thrilled with your custom swing set, so don’t be afraid to fire away with a thousand questions. It is a big purchase, and we want you to be happy!
